An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore on Tuesday issued arrest warrants for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur and several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders in connection with an October 5 protest in Lahore and an alleged attack on police.
The hearing was conducted by ATC Administrative Judge Manzar Ali Gill, who noted Gandapur’s repeated absence from court proceedings. The arrest warrants were issued on a petition filed by the police.
Other PTI leaders named in the warrants include Hammad Azhar, Saeed Sandhu, and Shahbaz Ahmad.
The cases were registered at the Masti Gate Police Station in Lahore.
