Executive Director of the SCO’s Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS), Major General Ularbek Sharsheyev, met with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza at the Joint Staff Headquarters on Saturday.
According to a statement issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), both sides exchanged views on the evolving regional security landscape and explored ways to strengthen cooperation in counterterrorism efforts.
General Mirza appreciated the role of SCO-RATS in fostering regional collaboration against terrorism and reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to regional and global peace.
Major General Sharsheyev commended the professionalism of Pakistan’s Armed Forces and acknowledged their significant sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
