The federal government has relaunched the Prime Minister’s (PM) Youth Laptop Schemefor 2025, aiming to distribute 100,000 laptops to high-achieving students across Pakistan. The initiative is part of the broader Digital Youth Hub programme, designed to enhance digital access and skill development among the youth.
This program is open to students from all academic disciplines and focuses on a merit-based selection process, ensuring fairness and transparency in laptop distribution.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, students must be currently enrolled in public sector universities in Pakistan. The selection process prioritizes high-achieving and financially deserving students to ensure equitable access to digital resources.
Applications for the scheme can be submitted through the official Digital Youth Hub platform. The deadline for submissions is 20 May 2025.

In August last year, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the distribution of one million smartphones, tablets, and laptops to top-performing students across the country, including students from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and remote areas of Balochistan.
Additionally, the PM outlined various support programs for students across the provinces and announced plans to personally fund the education of 1,000 agricultural graduates in China to help improve agricultural production. Huawei has also pledged to provide IT training and advanced education to 200,000 youth.
The Prime Minister also shared that a comprehensive development plan for the country will be unveiled on August 14.
