PML-N senior leader and former federal minister Khawaja Saad Rafique cautioned that any escalation in tensions between nuclear-armed neighbours Pakistan and India could have devastating consequences for both nations.
Responding to India’s reaction to the Pahalgam attack, Rafique condemned the Modi government’s baseless accusations against Pakistan, calling them reckless and irresponsible.
He criticised India’s unilateral exit from the Indus Waters Treaty and other aggressive actions, saying they had only worsened the situation.
“We won’t be the first to pull the trigger, but if provoked, Pakistan will respond with full force,” he warned.
Rafique underscored the importance of dialogue, stressing, “War has never been a solution. It’s time to sit down, face reality, and resolve our differences through talks.”
