Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has reiterated her government's commitment to eradicating preventable diseases through a comprehensive and vigorous vaccination campaign currently underway across the province.
In a message marking World Immunization Week, the Chief Minister highlighted the ongoing efforts against polio, measles, tuberculosis, hepatitis, tetanus, pneumonia, and other deadly diseases. She stressed that awareness, caution, and timely vaccination remain the most effective tools in combating these health threats.
Maryam Nawaz appealed to all parents in Punjab to ensure that their children receive the full course of recommended vaccines, underlining that immunization is a collective responsibility.
She also extended heartfelt appreciation to health workers and vaccination teams from the Health Department, acknowledging their relentless efforts to reach every household and protect vulnerable populations.
Reaffirming her administration’s commitment, the Chief Minister said that making Punjab a polio-free province remains a top priority for her government.
