Following nationwide rainfall, the Indus River System Authority (IRSA) has boosted water supply to Punjab and Sindh due to improved reservoir levels.
Punjab’s share has increased by 23,800 cusecs to 64,800 cusecs, while Sindh’s allocation is up by 10,000 cusecs, now at 45,000 cusecs.
IRSA also confirmed that Balochistan is receiving 500 cusecs and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 1,900 cusecs.
The overall water shortfall for the Kharif season has dropped from 43% to 27%, reflecting better water availability.
