The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved a substantial increase in funding for religious seminaries, raising the annual grant from Rs30 million to Rs100 million.
The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
Speaking to the media, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information Barrister Saif said the government considers seminary students a valuable national asset. He emphasized the need to integrate religious and contemporary education, calling it a priority.
He added that the provincial leadership is working to promote a balanced educational model that combines traditional Islamic teachings with modern subjects.
