Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Saudi Arabia in the fight against drug trafficking and human smuggling.
During a meeting with Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmed Al-Maliki in Islamabad on Sunday, Naqvi highlighted the government's efforts to curb illegal immigration, including the introduction of stricter passport requirements aimed at reducing beggary and unlawful travel.
He expressed gratitude to the Saudi government and the ambassador for their assistance in securing the release of a Pakistani family wrongfully implicated in a drug-related case.
Naqvi also praised Saudi Arabia’s continued support for Pakistan, especially in the economic and social spheres.
Ambassador Al-Maliki reiterated the close and friendly ties between the two countries and expressed a desire to further strengthen cooperation across various sectors.
