Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to leave for Turkiye tomorrow (Tuesday) on a two-day official visit, accompanied by key federal ministers, according to sources.
During the visit, the prime minister will meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and participate in several high-level meetings.
Talks are expected to focus on strengthening bilateral ties and addressing regional and global matters of mutual interest.
Earlier this month, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz met President Erdogan in Antalya, with First Lady Emine Erdogan also in attendance.
The Turkish president warmly received Maryam Nawaz, thanked her for attending the Diplomacy Forum, and inquired about the health of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He extended his best wishes and expressed hope to meet Nawaz Sharif soon.
Maryam Nawaz conveyed a message of goodwill from Nawaz Sharif and thanked President Erdogan for the invitation to visit Turkiye.
