The Senate of Pakistan on Friday unanimously passed a resolution condemning India’s recent accusations and actions following the Pahalgam attack in Indian-occupied Kashmir.
The resolution, moved by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar during a special session chaired by Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gillani, reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to combating terrorism and its resolve to respond firmly to any act of aggression.
Rejecting all allegations leveled by India, the resolution stated that any hostile move or adventurism would be met with a “befitting response.” Dar, addressing the House, warned, “Anyone who casts an evil eye on Pakistan must know that we are fully prepared.”
He also cited national security officials’ warnings that any attempt by India to block Pakistan’s water supply would be treated as an act of war.
The resolution urged the international community to hold India accountable for its malicious campaigns and condemned New Delhi’s narrative-building efforts as deceitful and provocative.
Separately, in a media interview on Thursday, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif accused India of using the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as proxies to launch attacks on Pakistani soil. He labeled the Taliban “Indian agents” and claimed that credible intelligence confirms New Delhi’s involvement in orchestrating terror plots through the TTP.
