Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has hit back at Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, urging him to focus on his own province’s governance instead of commenting on Punjab’s affairs.
Responding to Shah’s recent press conference, Bokhari said the Sindh government, led by the same party for 16 years, should now show results.
“It seems Murad Ali Shah is more worried about Punjab’s farmers than his own,” she remarked, adding that Punjab has its own leadership to represent and support its agricultural community.
Bokhari questioned whether the Sindh government had set wheat support prices or started crop procurement.
In contrast, she highlighted Punjab’s progress under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, citing a Rs110 billion package for farmers, initiatives like solar tube wells, green tractors, super seeders, and record wheat production.
She also criticized Shah for allegedly backing protesters who blocked major highways in Sindh, calling on him to act more responsibly and not follow the example of KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
